Dimensions are given in mm as top deck (board length) × stringer × bottom deck × height, and load capacity is expressed in tons.
As every pallet is made to order, sizes vary, but they are classified as one-way, returnable, export or domestic. Types include 2-way, 4-way, single-faced, double-faced, block and plywood pallets, and specifications vary with each client's products.

Export packaging is the technical process of protecting the contents and exterior of goods and preserving their value, built to keep products safe through long-distance overseas shipping. Methods include skids, vacuum skids, sealed, vacuum and open types, and open-top containers, using timber, plywood, poly film (flame-retardant, moisture-proof, rust-proof, cushioning, etc.) and hardware.
